Monster Core Size and Appearance
An extremely small pearlescent core, ranging from the size of a grain of rice to that of a pea, with an iridescent shimmer that shifts based on their diet and given attributes. The core is embedded in the creature’s skull in the center of their forehead.

The Sprii are kept as companions by nobles across the continent, and are best known for being disarmingly pretty — small, ornately coloured, and patterned to match whatever crops grow around them.

They are also, technically, monsters. A Sprii is a hybrid of monster and plant. It begins as a seed in congruence-rich soil, which produces an egg, which hatches. Any Sprii can reproduce without a mate by planting the seeds of the fruit it grows, provided the soil is rich enough. Where the first one came from is unknown.
